Description
What is Tuberose Attar?
Tuberose Attar is a natural fragrance oil distilled from fresh Tuberose flowers. It is also known as Rajnigandha Attar because the flowers are called ‘Rajnigandha’ in Hindi, which means ‘Fragrant of Night’. It is yellowish in color.
You can wear this attar every day (it is an effective stress-buster), but we recommend it purposely for weddings and giftings. Perfect present for your wife, sister, or mother. We will also deliver it to you in a beautiful bottle.
We source our Tuberose flowers from the southern states of India, mainly from Tamil Nadu state. The flowers from that region are most exquisite. If you have ever been to a Mysore-style wedding, the sweet scent you are smiling in must be from Tuberose.
What does Tuberose Attar smell like?
Tuberose Attar has a pleasant floral aroma. Women vastly admire this sweet scent but men can also wear it. Many french perfumers from Europe are using its aroma for more than 300 years ago.
Benefits and Uses
Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa) is a bulbous flowering plant that originated in Mexico. It can grow up to 2-3 feet. Currently, it is harvested in South India, where it is also known as Rajnigandha and Nishigandha. Flowers from here are exported to countries all around the world.
It has spike-shaped flowers of bright green color in a star design, grown between March and November The flowers are plucked in the bud stage because as it blossoms, it starts losing its fragrance.
Its benefits of it are also referenced in ancient Sanskrit texts. It is found that Tuberose has a fabulous effect on the mind to prompt relaxation. That makes it a good attar oil for Meditation and Aromatherapy. It blends well with Jasmine, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, and Lavender essential oil.
Indians have been using it for a long time. It is commonly cultivated for decoration and ornaments at weddings and religious events in India and Bangladesh. Garlands are made with these flowers as well. Hindu deities are also worshipped with this oil.
But the best way to use it is perfume and here you can consider our Rajnigandha attar. We recommend it for beginners who are looking for something with a soft floral fragrance. It will not hit your nose sharply and will definitely calm you down.
Commercially, it is heavily used in making expensive scents, soaps, creams, lotions, skin toners, and other cosmetics. It specifically makes an amazing middle note of many premium perfumes.
How do we make it?
Like most of our other attars, we manufacture them with the same method that our ancestors used. This is completely free of alcohol and toxic chemicals. We call it the ‘Deg & Bhapka’ method where the Tuberose flower is heated in a big container and the steam is passed to the small vessel.
The oil in the vessel absorbs the steam which contains the fragrance of tuberose flowers. This is how we make our Pure Tuberose Attar.
Note: For external use only. We also recommend doing a patch test before using it directly on the skin. Pregnant and nursing mothers should consult their doctors before application.
